Tonally, we wanted to cross a hollow’s inherent jazz warmth with aggressive rock /blues definition and power.
The combination of our own design mini-humbuckers, with a center block based hollow “wings” body, gave us what we were looking for: bright and strong hum-canceling tone that is full-range but doesn’t get muddy. The Ebony fingerboard adds in bit more definition to the mix as well. The “Chicagoan” positively shines in any situation, from jazz club clean to blistering blues or garage rock overdrive glory. It even does superb Rock-a-Billy and country twang, oh and it funks out like a beast too.
The Verdict:
Combining classic elements to deliver best of class tone, playability, and looks, the “Chicagoan ST” implements attributes professional guitarists truly appreciate in a semi-hollow body guitar.
